Client Notification – Local Deliveries / Extra Charge
 
Toronto Rail Terminals are experiencing major congestion as a result of the large amount of import containers arriving into the region. This additional volume has forced the rail companies to temporarily halt the acceptance of empty equipment. This has led to increased driver waiting times for all local collections and deliveries, and it’s been reported that some drivers are waiting up to 8 hours only allowing them to make 1 delivery per day as opposed to their normal 2-3.
 
Nu-Era Logistics recognizes the rail companies (CN & CP) are currently at their maximum capacity with no sign of any improvements. It’s due to these unprecedented problems that some extra charges may be included on final invoices. We want to emphasize that Nu-Era will not profit from this issue, and we are simply seeking to cover our costs.
 
We are doing everything possible to minimize those additional costs, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time.
