Position Summary:
The Pricing Manager will develop and assist outside sales representative(s), with new business and foster client relationships for import and export cargo for both consolidation and full container & LCL services, air, trucking, while maintaining close communication with clients to ensure ongoing support. You will be expected to contact agents, call clients in the Greater Toronto Area to discuss our services, offer assistance, prepare quotations, and cultivate strong relationships to foster a feeling of partnership between clients, agents and NUERA Logistics.
In addition to the above you will be expected to monitor business volumes to ensure existing levels from clients/agents are maintained. You will manage the pricing team to ensure success of the department. Close communication with operations personnel and overseas agents will be essential. You will be responsible for the successful performance of the regional office as it relates to annual volume projections in both import and export consolidation services for all modes of transportation.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute the company’s business strategies to attain the organizational goals.
- Managing the pricing team to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and assist outside sales representative(s), with new business and foster client relationships for import and export cargo for both consolidation and full container & LCL services, air, trucking, while maintaining close communication with clients to ensure ongoing support.
- Contact agents, call clients in the Greater Toronto Area to discuss our services, offer assistance, prepare quotations, and cultivate strong relationships to foster a feeling of partnership between clients, agents and NUERA Logistics.
- Follow up with clients/agents on the status of quotations and offer assistance in resolving any client disputes that may develop with Nu-Era personnel, agents, or third-party service providers.
- Monitor business volumes to ensure existing levels from clients/agents are maintained.
- Developing new business.
- Attend industry functions to represent NUERA Logistics in the marketplace and increase our exposure to potential clients.
- You will be responsible for the successful performance of the regional office as it relates to annual volume projections in both import and export consolidation services for all modes of transportation.
- Work with operations to ensure that we maintain high performance standards and focus on continuous improvement while being committed to providing exceptional customer service.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Education Requirement:
- Supply Chain Management or relevant education.
- Successful completion of CIFFA Education Program preferred.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Proven sales, business development, and customer service skills
- 2 years general forwarding or marine/Air transportation experience preferred.
- Experience in dealing with air and ocean carriers.
- Has a good knowledge on air and ocean freight rates.
- Experience in quoting clients and or agents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Good computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office products.
