Position Summary:
The Customer Services Representative is responsible for maintaining Current Clients, upselling services and following up on quotations. Using mostly emails and phone communication, the successful candidate can employ effective sales strategies to get clients what they want. Serves as liaison between Sales, Clients, and Operations for any questions regarding pricing and services. Duties may also include finding new sales opportunities.
Essential Functions:
- Responding to complaints and inquiries quickly and efficiently
- Serves as liaison between Sales, Clients, and Operations
- Answering phone calls and emails in a professional manner
- Building rapport with clients
- Collecting client information for future follow-ups
- Identify opportunities with current clients, improving pricing and profitability of existing accounts and analyzes shipment volume and revenue to determine effectiveness and profitability.
- Introducing New Services
- Upselling services
- Identifying sales opportunities
- Staying informed about service information updates
- Other job duties as assigned.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline preferred.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Proven work experience in sales or customer service in the logistics and transportation industry.
- Preferred 3-5 years of freight brokerage/inside sales experience, preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced sales environment an asset.
- Working knowledge of transportation management software (i.e. CargoWise) is an asset.
