Position Summary:

The Transatlantic Route & Partner Development Manager is a high-impact role designed for an individual who specializes in building and scaling international freight partnerships. This is not a shipment management role; it is a strategic growth position focused on developing global agency relationships that generate consistent transatlantic freight volume and margin.

In this role, you will be responsible for expanding NUERA’s international partner network, particularly across Europe and key global markets, and converting those relationships into sustained freight flow between Europe and North America. You will play a key role in strengthening NUERA’s transatlantic trade lanes and supporting the company’s continued global expansion.

NUERA already has a strong operational foundation, including established North American infrastructure, active global partnerships, and a robust carrier and pricing network. This role is focused on scaling those lanes, increasing volume, and improving profitability through strategic partner development and relationship-driven growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, expand, and maintain relationships with international freight forwarders and agency partners across Europe and global markets.
  • Identify and onboard high-value producing partners capable of generating consistent transatlantic freight volume.
  • Strengthen existing international relationships to increase lane performance and shipment consistency.
  • Generate inbound and outbound freight through a structured global partner network.
  • Increase lane density across Europe ↔ North America trade routes.
  • Convert partner relationships into repeatable and scalable gross margin opportunities.
  • Identify and target high-value trade flows aligned with company growth strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal pricing, operations, and sales teams to align service levels, capacity, and pricing strategy.
  • Position NUERA as a preferred North American partner within global agency networks.
  • Monitor performance of trade lanes and identify opportunities for expansion and optimization.
  • Support strategic decision-making related to international market development and partner selection.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of international freight forwarding or global business development experience
  • Industry certifications (CIFFA, FIATA, APICS) considered an asset

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • 3 Proven experience in international freight forwarding (Air & Ocean)
  • Strong background in business development, partner management, or agency sales
  • Established network of international freight forwarders (preferred)
  • Deep understanding of transatlantic trade lanes and global logistics flows
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Ability to convert relationships into consistent revenue-generating freight volume
  • Understanding of Incoterms, carrier networks, and international forwarding practices
  • Ability to work independently in a performance-driven environment
  • Strong communication, commercial thinking, and strategic execution skills
  • Ability to identify high-value trade opportunities and act quickly

Salary

  • $80-90,000/yr + performance-based incentives (aligned with revenue and lane growth contribution)
